Chandeliers
Chandeliers are the key light fixtures in a dining room. Like the North Star is to the sky, the chandelier is to the dining area. In often hectic quarters, your chandelier will always be visible and will serve as the focal point of the room. Although chandeliers are predominantly associated with the dining room they can be beautiful accent lights for the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or foyer as well! Chandeliers are a practical and stylish way to add a touch of detail and design to your home.
When you're choosing this important light fixture for your home, the most important guideline to follow in order to ensure that your chandelier will be one that will wow is its size.
The chandelier that is right for your home will first and foremost be reliant on the size of the room in which it will hang. Mini chandeliers are very well-suited for smaller rooms because they hang about .5 meters or less in diameter. For rooms that are up to about 4.6 meters by 4.6 meters, a mid-size chandelier is probably more appropriate. These hang up to about 1 meter in diameter. If you have a large room or foyer, large-sized chandeliers, which had about 1 meter or more in diameter, will make a stunning statement. Since your chandelier will serve as the showpiece in your dining room or foyer, let it demand attention and make a statement with it! This may require you to think big and choose the largest size chandelier that looks appropriate. If you have a large room with high ceilings, you may even want to consider a chandelier with two or three tiers to help fill the open space.
Lastly, A helpful rule to follow when deciding on the size of your chandelier is to choose one that is about 30 centimeters slimmer than the width of your dining table and to hang it about 76 centimeters above the table to ensure that your room is properly lighted and that the chandelier is not obstructive to yourself, your family, or your guests.
